Mr. Hurst is a Registered Architect in the State of Texas since 1988. His long and varied career began at the age of 15 when his love for architecture lead him to apprentice under such notable local architects as Mr. Herschel Fisher of Fisher and Spillman Architects and under the late Mr. Don Jarvis of JPJ Architects. After pursuing an architectural degree from the University of Texas, he completed his training with Taylor Hewlett Architects where he worked as the designer and project architect on several mid-rise office buildings in the North Dallas corridor. He also completed the master planning and designing a luxury resort townhouse community in Lakeway, Texas. Mr. Hurst left the architectural services side of the industry to join Vantage Development Company in 1986 in the Retail Division under Mr. John Weber. He later joined the MG Herring Group to hone his knowledge and skills in retail planning and construction which lead to his placement at CompUSA as a Regional Construction Manager during that companies exciting early years of expansion.

In 1994, Mr. Hurst joined CCG Commercial Construction Group where he quickly rose to the position of Senior Vice President and Operations Manager. During his tenure at CCG, the company grew to be a major construction company employing over 120 professionals. Because of his passion for both architecture and construction the natural progression was towards the Design/Build delivery method of construction, a challenge he successfully achieved while at CCG. His diverse background in all sides of the construction and development industry provide a uniquely insightful understanding of the processes involved in delivering any project from conceptual design through turn-over to the end user.

In 2000, Mr. Hurst formed Integrated Builders, Inc. in Dallas and served as the President and Chief Executive Officer providing development, construction management and design build services to a select group of owners and real estate professionals at a national level. The company experienced exceptional success growing to a firm of nearly 100 personnel working in markets across the nation. Notable projects included The Landmark, a $200,000,000 mixed use project located in Greenwood Village, CO, the National Headquarters for Ennis Business Forms (EBF, NYSE) and several multi-unit roll outs and remodels for LaQuinta Inns.

Currently, Mr. Hurst is the President of Falcon Construction Advisors in Addison, TX. Falcon Construction Advisors provides both direct and third party development and construction management services for a variety of development types including: retail, mixed-use, hospitality, multi-family and medical. Falcon serves both small and large clients on a national basis, including such notable companies as Trademark Development, Pacific Coast Capital Partners, N3 Real Estate, UDC Medical and Leon Capital Group. Outside of Falcon Construction Advisors, Mr. Hurst also serves as an independent consultant and advisor in legal matters as an expert witness for construction defect claims and development partnership disputes. Mr. Hurst is also a board member of the Midlothian Development Authority in his home town of Midlothian, Texas.
